JamisonMoneyFarmer shareholder Cathy Rice has been elected to serve on the BoCathy Riceard of Directors for the Georgia Land Trust, Inc., Alabama Land Trust, Inc., and the founding organization The Chattowah Open Land Trust, Inc.  The Board meets quarterly and is dedicated to protecting land for present and future generations, primarily by helping private landowners establish conservation easements on family and investment lands. The land trusts permanently safeguard more than 193,000 acres of land with more than 560 conservation easements, thereby protecting more private land than any other regional conservation group in the southeast United States.

Cathy manages JamisonMoneyFarmer’s Estate Tax and Planning practice.  She started with the firm in 1987 after working for a national firm.  Cathy was made shareholder in 1998.  She holds a BS in Biology and Financial Management and a Masterof Tax Accounting from the University of Alabama, is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants.  She is also a former President of the Tuscaloosa Estate Planning Council.
