This summer, sponsors of retirement plans will have no time to relax because they will be complying with the Department of Labor’s final fee disclosure regulations. The upcoming effective dates require plan sponsors to embark on an exploration designed to uncover fees and costs associated with plan services and investments. At the end of the summer most plan participants and beneficiaries must receive a detailed report of all investment options in their plan, comparative returns and associated fees and costs paid for each.
