Alabama-based JamisonMoneyFarmer, PC and Jessup, Ingram, Burns & Associates, LLP have merged as of January 1, 2014. Terms were not disclosed, but the combined accounting firm will operate under the JamisonMoneyFarmer PC name. In addition, a related company Capstone Wealth Management, LLC is also joining the JamisonMoneyFarmer family of companies and continue to operate as Capstone Wealth Management, LLC.
“Jessup, Ingram, Burns has built a terrific track record of client service since its founding in 1970 and has developed deep expertise in serving privately-held businesses, their owners and other high wealth individuals, which represents a great strategic fit with our service offerings,” said Bryan Chandler, Managing Shareholder of JamisonMoneyFarmer. Chandler will remain the Managing Shareholder of the combined firm, and added, “We are well-matched in many regards including a shared vision as trusted advisors serving quality clients. We expect that all of our clients will be pleased with the continuity of service with familiar faces while also adding enhanced areas of expertise and access to more resources.”
Jessup, Ingram, Burns and Associates was founded more than 40 years ago and is home to a dedicated staff of 13 that serves a variety of business and individual clients from its office north of the river in Tuscaloosa. As a result of the accounting firm merger, JMF welcomes new shareholders Bobby Ingram, Robb Burns, and James Brazil. By the summer of 2014, all Tuscaloosa employees will be located in the Bank of Tuscaloosa Plaza building on Jack Warner Parkway.
Bobby Ingram, managing partner of Jessup, Ingram, Burns and Associates, will serve on the executive committee of the combined firm. “Our current clients will continue to enjoy the highly personalized service for which Jessup, Ingram, Burns and Associates is known. We are looking forward to the opportunity to join forces with a firm that shares our principles, yet will expand our capacity and continue to keep our clients as the center of everything we do,” says Ingram.
Bill Jessup, founder and managing member of Capstone Wealth Management, LLC, will continue to work exclusively in the wealth management area. Capstone and Jessup have already moved its office to the Bank of Tuscaloosa Plaza building. Both Capstone Wealth Management and JMF Wealth Management are part of the BAM ALLIANCE, a community of more than 130 independent, like-minded advisory firms throughout the country that manage more than $20.2 billion as of September 30, 2013.
Jessup said, “We are truly excited about joining the JMF team. We have worked in the same community for a long time and have always respected the professionalism and integrity with which JMF has operated. The new, larger team provides our clients with more innovative, efficient and competitive service options.”
With the addition of the new employees and owners, JamisonMoneyFarmer PC will have 15 shareholders and nearly 100 employees with offices in Tuscaloosa, Birmingham, and Selma, Alabama. The combined firm will have nearly 60 CPAs in Alabama, which would be the 6th largest firm in the state.
