JamisonMoneyFarmer was proud to attend and sponsor the AlabamaGermany Partnership dinner held in Huntsville on March 7. A number of officials, including Governor Robert Bentley, Secretary of Commerce Greg Canfield and German Consol General to the Southeast Christoph Sander, spoke at the event, which was held at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center. The dinner celebrated the economic development spurred in Alabama by 17 German companies.
Alabama’s history with Germany goes back hundreds of years, and in the 60s, Dr. Wernher von Braun helped shape the Rocket City (Huntsville) when numerous Germans came to Redstone Arsenal. The event also celebrated the 20-year anniversary of the Mercedes decision to build a plant in Tuscaloosa county.
