Selma, Alabama JamisonMoneyFarmer (JMF) Shareholder Kim Smith was elected to the Selma and Dallas County Economic Development Authority Board of Directors.  She will act as Secretary/Treasurer.  Kim is the lead shareholder in the JMF office in Selma.

Kim and her husband Ken Smith live in Valley Grande outside of Selma and she is a past member of the Selma Rotary Club, Selma/Dallas County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and a graduate of Leadership Selma/Dallas County. In 2003 and 2004 she received the Distinguished Service Award from the West Alabama Chamber of Commerce.

Kim joined JMF in 1997 after working as a Revenue Examiner for the Alabama Department of Revenue. She is a graduate of the University of Alabama and is a member of the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants (ASCPA), The ASCPA State Taxation Committee, The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Federal Taxation Board of Trustees and the Business Council of Alabama’s Taxation Committee.

Kim focuses on providing tax planning and compliance services to businesses and individuals with multi-state operations.  With over 25 years of accounting experience, she assists clients with corporate, partnership, and individual income tax return reporting,  IRS and State tax audit representation, sales and use tax audit representation and compliance issues, and individual and business tax planning.
