Angela Hamiter has been nominated to serve a three-year term on the board of the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants (ASCPA). The ASCPA Nominations Committee met in Montgomery, and each nominee has already agreed to begin serving June 1, 2020 if elected.

The ASCPA is the statewide, professional membership organization representing over 6,000 Alabama CPAs in public practice, industry, government and education. Its mission is to enhance Alabama’s accounting profession through advocacy, education and member engagement.

If elected by the ASCPA membership, Angela will serve a term which will run through May 31, 2023. JamisonMoneyFarmer PC (JMF) has a long history of serving in leadership roles in Alabama and in the accounting profession.  JMF’s founder Carl C. Jamison served as ASCPA President in 1931.  Shareholder James Money also served as ASCPA President in 1964.

Mrs. Hamiter is the Chair of the JamisonMoneyFarmer PC Recruiting team and leads our Women in Motion Committee.  With more than 25 years of experience in public accounting, she assists clients with business and individual tax planning, advising and reporting, estate, trust and gift tax reporting, and business succession planning.

Angela started with the firm as an intern in 1991 and was promoted to shareholder in 2006.  She holds a BS in Accounting, from the University of Alabama, is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants, and serves on the board of the Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama. She also serves on the boards of UPerk, a local nonprofit entity and Presbyterian Apartments of Northport, and was recently selected to serve on the Board of the Salvation Army.
