Rachel Taylor has been promoted to manager. Rachel joined JMF as a staff accountant in the tax department in 2005. She is a graduate of the University of Alabama where she received her Bachelor of Science degree (summa cum laude) and Master of Tax Accounting. She worked as a tax intern for a national firm in Birmingham, and she received the “”Defining Women Award” from the Women in Business Council in 2011. Rachel serves as treasurer for both Caring Congregations and the Kiwanis Club of Tuscaloosa. She is a member of Alabama Society of Women in Accounting (ASWA), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants (ASCPA), and she is currently participating in the ASCPA Leadership Academy. Formerly Rachel Mims of Northport, she is married to Andre Taylor.

Katy Beth Jackson, CPA has been promoted to supervisor. She joined JMF in 2007 in tax and accounting. Katy Beth graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration from the University of Alabama prior to entering graduate school. She completed her Master of Taxation at the University of Alabama and worked as a tax intern at JMF prior to joining the firm full time. She is a member of ASWA, AICPA and ASCPA. Katy Beth is a Tuscaloosa native.

Patricia Parnell, CPA has been promoted to supervisor. Patricia began as a full-time employee in 2010 in JMF’s tax and audit department. Prior to her employment at JMF, she worked for the accounting firm Aldridge, Borden & Company in Montgomery, Ala. Patricia has a bachelor’s degree in Commerce and Business Administration with a minor in Chinese and has a master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Alabama. She also is president of American Society of Women Accountants and the financial vice president of the Junior League of Tuscaloosa.  She is a member of the Rotary Club of Tuscaloosa, Daughters of the American Revolution, Council Advisory Board of Kappa Delta Sorority, United Way Young Leader’s Society and Loaned Executive, Tuscaloosa Tennis Association, AICPA, ASCPA and the University of Alabama Alumni Association. Patricia is a native of Mobile, Ala.

Sarah Moore, CPA has been promoted to supervisor. Sarah graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration and a Master of Tax Accounting. She received four scholarships including a President’s Cabinet Scholarship. Sarah worked as a tax intern for JMF in 2006, at the University of Alabama as a graduate research assistant in 2007, and at Dixon Hughes, PLLC in Asheville, N. C. as a tax associate. She is a member of AICPA, ASCPA and Young CPAs of Tuscaloosa. Sarah serves on the board of directors of the Boys and Girls Club of West Alabama and the board of directors of the Tuscaloosa County Preservation Society. Originally Sarah Snow, she is married to Brendan Moore, and both are from Tuscaloosa.

Lauren Roberts, CPA has been promoted to supervisor. Lauren worked as a tax intern and a client services intern for JMF in 2007. She graduated with honors from the Culverhouse School of Accountancy at the University of Alabama and started working full time at JMF in 2008. Lauren also has a Bachelor of Arts in Dance with a minor in the Blount Undergraduate Initiative, summa cum laude. She is a member of ASWA, AICPA and ASCPA. Lauren currently serves as treasurer of the Kentuck Museum Association and as secretary of Tuscaloosa Community Dancers. She is formerly Lauren Pearson from Northport and is married to Charles Kenneth Roberts.

Todd Turner, CPA has been promoted to supervisor. Todd started as a full-time staff accountant in 2008 after working part time as an undergraduate and graduate student. While completing his master’s degree, he also worked as a graduate assistant at the University of Alabama. Todd received a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration and Master of Accountancy, and he graduated summa cum laude. He is a member of Young CPAs of Tuscaloosa, Alpha Kappa Psi, ASCPA and AICPA. Todd is from Birmingham and married to the former Pamela Joy Coburn.

Rachel Aaron, CPA has been promoted to senior. Rachel Aaron began full time at JMF in 2010 as a staff accountant in tax and accounting. Rachel worked as an intern for JMF during the 2009 tax season. She also was a customer relationship manager for First Bank of Jasper before joining JMF. Rachel has a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration and a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Alabama. She is on the board of the Good Samaritan Clinic and serves as treasurer. Rachel, formerly Rachel Pruden of Dora, Ala., is married to Mark Aaron and has one daughter, Ava.

Haley Glover, CPA has been promoted to senior. Haley began full time at JMF in 2010 as a staff accountant in tax, accounting and audit. She worked as an intern for JMF during the 2009 tax season. Haley also previously worked as an office assistant for Hamner Real Estate in Tuscaloosa. She graduated summa cum laude in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration and completed her master’s degree in accounting with a 4.0 grade point average from the University of Alabama. Haley is a member of ASWA, AICPA, ASCPA and Junior League of Tuscaloosa. Haley, formerly Haley Miles, is married to Rhen Glover and is a native of Northport.

Kris Walters has been promoted to senior. Kris also began full time at JMF in 2010 as a staff accountant in tax, accounting and audit. He worked as an intern for JMF during the 2010 tax season. Kris also previously worked as a sales associate for Academy Sports in Tuscaloosa. He graduated cum laude and has a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Alabama. He is a member of Beta Alpha Psi and Beta Gamma Sigma. Kris is a native of Northport.
