Dear JMF Clients and Friends:

The coronavirus will have an impact on our clients, employees, and the firm.  We wanted to share with our clients and friends what JMF is doing to continue to serve our clients in a professional manner and at the same time, maintaining a safe work environment.

As we continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and related work announcements and closures, we want you to know that our Tuscaloosa and Selma offices remain open and that we continue to focus on meeting your tax and accounting needs.

In an effort to safeguard our team and their families in accordance with guidance from city or state officials, we are also preparing for the possibility that we may need to severely limit access to our offices by our clients or employees. This potential disruption may include altering work schedules and/or working remotely. As conditions dictate, we will provide updated communication. Our technology solutions are in a secured environment that will allow many of us to work to ensure uninterrupted services for our clients.

If you have any concerns about coming into our offices, we would like to remind you that there is a secure drop box in front of the Tuscaloosa office with a large JMF sign on it (see pictures below). We can also be reached via email or phone at (205) 345-8440.  If you are currently exhibiting any COVID-19 symptoms, we kindly ask that you not come into the office; simply let us know and we will make arrangements for pickup if needed.

In the meantime, please continue to share your tax documents with us immediately upon receipt; even if you are missing a few remaining items, so we can work ahead on your return(s).  Do let us know what you are still planning to send to us later. If you wish to transfer your tax documents to us by electronic means, please contact a JMF employee and we can provide you instructions to be able to complete this transfer securely.

While we recognize COVID-19 is concerning, we continue to work diligently to meet your needs.  If you have any questions, please reach out to your accountant directly. We will continue to provide the level of assistance and attention to which you’ve become accustomed over the last 100 years, while also protecting the health and safety of all our employees and their families throughout this period of uncertainty.

Best Regards,

Scott Goldsmith
